Memorial Day Weekend Update

Wow... I apologize for being such a blog-slacker!!! It's been such a crazy week that I barely even have enough time to check my emails lately, let alone blog! Working on computers all day may not sound like hard labor, well not physically anyway... but it drains your brains out like crazy! I've been working on some new pages at work and NOTHING has challenged me thus far--design-wise in the new ASP.NET version anyway!!! That and trying a new algorithm in VB, only to find out later on that it doesn't work the way you want it to, so then you have to start all over again with your HTML code in ASP, because the datagrids you use just won't cooperate and then you have to come up with a new set of algorithms... and the cycle continues... whew! Talk about being exhausted... so the last thing you want to do is get on the darn computer again when you come home from work!!!

Anyways... sorry to vent... So, our 3-day weekend was pretty decent... Short, but good! It all started out on Friday night... Rob and I had a date night. We went to have dinner at Barnacle Bill's because we were missing seafood! We, then went to watch Shrek 3... It was really funny, but Rob thought the first and second ones were a lot funnier! I like all 3 of them equally! Yeah... you would think we'd be watching something more like a Rated-R movie, but we just love to laugh (PG jokes are pretty hilarious), and nothing's funnier than Donkey, so we had a great date to say the least!

First half of Saturday was spent at the gym, lunch at Chick-fil-A and grocery shopping... Every Saturday, Rob and I love stopping by Chick-fil-A on Capital Circle, after working out, to have lunch because of all the fun stuff they have going on for kids... They have "Mr. Jerry", the clown guy who makes balloon animals and they've got the best playground in town... LOL! One of these days, I will be one of those SUV-driving moms, who congregate every Saturdays while their kids eat and play, all the while toting their designer diaper bags!!! Haha... someday... but for now, I'm still enjoying bringing my "really big baby" there on Saturdays... LOL!!!

Saturday afternoon was Andie's 6th Birthday party at a Cookie and Tea For Me! I just LOVE the concept of a tea party for little girls! Her theme was Pink Poodle... it was so girly, the guys were all banned from the party! The girls had a great time with all the fun activities... They had a slumber party with nail-paintings and glitters! Afterwards, they all made their own bead necklaces/chokers, then they played dress-up (with pink tutus to resemble pink poodles), then they stuffed their very own pink poodles and finally, it was tea time!!! Everything was just too cute!!! I couldn't believe Andie's 6 already!!! I went to visit tita Edith at the hospital when Andie was only 30 minutes old... I told Andie "You know, I met Rob the day after you were born!"... So, yup, Rob and I have been together for 6 awesome years now!!! Well, here are the cute pics from the party...

Before kicking the guys out... LOL

Party Time!

The girls lining up to get their nails done... Divas!!! Need I say more?

And of course the Birthday girl goes first :-)

"Could you please pass me some cookies?"

"Why, Yes, my lady!"

Such a fun party!

We continued Andie's party (this time with adults) at Golden Corral that night... The food was yummy and the place was packed because it was graduation weekend! Afterwards, we went to the Tanguiligs house to hang out. Tita Edith redecorated her house and she did such a great job, especially in the girls' room! I love the matching beds and pink sheets... Very nice! Rachel, Andie and I spent the rest of the night playing with all of Andie's cool presents--which were mostly Hello Kitty stuff... That girl is obssessed with Hello Kitty!!! Well, they're off to San Diego this week to visit family on their dad's side... I wanted to go, but I'm trying to save up my leave for football and skiing trips! Oh, well... maybe next year! I know tita Edith reads my blog, so Have a Safe Trip and Bon Voyage!!! We'll see you all in 2 weeks :-) Oh and Happy 10th (early) Birthday to Michael!!! WOW... 10 already???!!!

Taking silly shots after dinner :-)... I took a picture of Andie

Andie took a picture of Rachel... haha!

... And Rachel took a picture of me... LOL... Those girls are so fun to play with!

Sunday, we woke up @ 6 AM to go fishing!!! We picked up JB, then stopped by the gas station for coffee and hot dogs on the way to the beach house... LOL! JB's so into gas station hot dogs these days! They are pretty tasty, though... So, we fished for about 6 hours until 4 PM, with a lunch break around noon. We parked our boat on an island, while we had a little picnic! We did catch a lot of fish... though NONE of them were keepers... Can you believe that??? JB was so excited that he caught a bunch of fish, but kinda bummed out that they were all too little!!! We headed back to Tally around 5:30, freshened up and went to dinner at Village Inn... After a long, exhausting day, we really slept well that night :-)

JB's first catch of the day... They really were all that little!!!

Somewhere by Dog Island off the Gulf...

Rob "supposedly" had a BIG catch... He was trying so hard to reel it in, but then the big fish got away!!! Anyways, he thinks it might've been a shark... but JB thinks it's just seaweed... LOL

Monday, I had a great time shopping with my mom! All the stores had some awesome deals! I'm going to have to go back this weekend though, because I mostly shopped for Rob! I really enjoyed my day off... so, what else did I end up doing??? I cleaned my car!!! Haha... Yes, for the first time ever!!! I actually cleaned my own car! Well, Rob cleaned his car and his motorcycle, and my car wasn't getting any attention, so I asked Rob what to do and went to work!!! Now, my car's all sparkly and new :-) Well, technically, it is almost a year-old (in July), but I only have 6,500 miles in it right now, so, she's still a baby! And I also watered my plants... I'm proud to say that my hydrangeas are doing great and blooming (except for one, which we will re-plant to another location because it's currently under direct sunlight)!!! As far as the rennovation plans are, we may have to push them back further... We never anticipated how much time they will actually require. We will eventually do them, one little thing at a time. But right now, our weekends are booked and we love enjoying them while we can!

Last night was The Mainline Catfish's Championship game... which they won!!! YAY!!! Now, the season's over (again) and the next season will be this Fall! We celebrated at AJ's Sports Bar after the game, while watching the NBA playoffs! We're having their Victory Party at our newlywed buddies--Brian and Katie's new house this Saturday!!! I think Dan and Melissa are also planning on hosting one, and Rob and I already talked about having a team picnic at our beach house sometime in June! Good times... those should be fun!!!

Well, I'm off to see my girlfriends at Atlanta Bread in a little while. I haven't seen them in a really long time, so I'm looking forward to it! Until next time... Ciao!

Half Birthday & Jamboree!

Friday night was Henry's Half Birthday!!! You read that right... Henry (cousin Emily and Bill Montford's son) is now 6 months old!!! Gosh... time really does fly when you're having fun!!! The little baby was in a really great mood... well, until he realized that he missed his nap, that is! But he was very well-behaved and I carried him most of the night! It also helps when you wear fun jewelry... In my case, he kept himself busy with my necklace... LOL!!! Anyways, here are some pics...

Prima Ballerinas----Miller and Bentley showed up in their tutus from their rehearsal for the next day's ballet recital!!!

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Henry James Montford!!!

Moving on... Saturday was spent shopping and stuff... All the stores have some really great deals!!! Oh... and Rob's got a new obssession too!!! We went Rolex-shopping! So, yeah... he's really into Rolexes now! I told him he'd have to wait until Christmas though!!! Hey, at least he'll be easy to shop for come Christmas time... LOL

So, Saturday was the Spring Jamboree! Lincoln beat both Chiles and Rickards!!! Whoohoo!!! Way to go Trojans!!! And my "baby" brother, Kev, did an awesome job blocking for B.J., their QB!!! He was on TV for the 10:00 News... haha! So, here are the shots we took :-)

The Lincoln Trojans... "scouting" their opponents during the Chiles vs. Rickards game... Can you spot Kevin???

Time Flies

It's THAT time of the year again... Really? Is it REALLY THAT time again?!?! Just recently, we were reminded to renew our annual season tickets for the FSU Seminoles home games. Geez... Not that I'm complaining or anything, because this just means ONE THING--Football season's almost HERE again--My favorite time of the year!!! :-) ***REALLY big GRIN***

So, while we were gone on vacation, mom and dad took care of the renewal. The thing is, we also had to turn in our requests for away games. Since, we missed the deadline, our plans are (once again) altered for away games... Hey, such is life! But it does get even more exciting... We originally were planning on 2 away games--(The "Bowden Bowl", which is on Labor Day weekend and is the very first game of the season and the 'Bama Showdown in Jacksonville). Other circumstances have also affected our plans, such as Jimmy (Sauls) "ditching" us for the Colorado game instead of the Clemson one... Boo! LOL... Just kidding, dude! I don't blame 'ya... I'd rather go to Colorado, but I think I would MUCH RATHER go to Boston again :-) So, yep... we're STILL doing the FSU vs. 'Bama in Jacksonville and now, we're heading for Boston in November with mom, dad, Spencer, (maybe JB too???) and the usual tailgate crew! Mom's planning the entire trip, so we've no details yet... Last time we went to Boston, we also stayed in New York City for a few days, but I think I'd rather enjoy my time in Boston longer... Afterall, it is Rob's and my favorite city in the world!

Things are looking much better for our Seminoles!!! New coaches, (some) new talents, and a fresh new start :-) So, here's what the 2007-2008 season has in store for us... (in BOLD - means we will be there to support our team, otherwise we will be watching the rest on TV!!!)

09/03/07 - FSU vs. Clemson @ Clemson, SC (aka "The Bowden Bowl")
09/08/07 - FSU vs. UAB (Alabama - Birmingham) @ Tallahassee
9/15/07 - FSU vs. Colorado @ Boulder, CO
09/29/07 - FSU vs. Alabama @ Jacksonville, FL
10/06/07 - FSU vs. North Carolina State @ Tallahassee
10/11/07 - FSU vs. Wake Forest @ Winston-Salem, NC
10/20/07 - FSU vs. Miami @ Tallahassee
10/27/07 - FSU vs. Duke @ Tallahassee
11/03/07 - FSU vs. Boston College @ Chestnut Hill, MA
11/10/07 - FSU vs. Virginia Tech @ Blacksburg, VA
11/17/07 - FSU vs. Maryland @ Tallahassee
11/24/07 - FSU vs. UF (Univ. of Florida) @ Gainesville, FL

Go NOLES!!!

PS: Hey, Kevin... I need the Lincoln Trojans Football schedule... SOON!!! This Fall's going to be hectic!
Oh, yeah and...

GO TROJANS, too :-) !!!

Baby Jenna

So, I went to visit Cindy at TMH yesterday right after work... Brought her a basket of fruits... She looked really great (thanks to a relatively SHORT labor that only lasted a few hours!!!)... She's only gained a little over 11 lbs. through her whole pregnancy and the baby weighs 6.5, so she doesn't have much to lose... Very lucky girl!!! LOL!!! Anyways, here are some pics :-)
